Andy Mulholland

Global Chief Technology Officer, Capgemini

Andy MulhollandAndy Mulholland is a leading thinker and practitioner helping clients recognise the impact of new technologies on their business models. Andy joined Capgemini in 1996 with thirteen years of experience in senior IT roles. Mulholland’s role of Global Chief Technology Officer includes advising the Capgemini Group management board on all aspects of technology-driven market changes. He has led Capgemini’s advanced technology focus. In the last six years, Andy has also published seven white papers, proposed Technology Architectural models, three of which have become the norm throughout the Technology industry, and most recently lead Capgemini’s vision on business driven technology clusters. Andy's first book, Mashup Corporations The End of Business As Usual, co-authored with Chris Thomas of Intel was published in October 2006. Prior to joining Capgemini Andy has been the founder, or co-founder, of four technology companies that have either been acquired by leading multinational technology companies, or gone public on the small capital NASDAQ.

Carl Bate

Carl helps organisations define and realise strategies in the connected world, applying people and technology considerations in equal measure. Carl is a vice president at Capgemini and is its UK Chief Technology Officer.

Carl is an executive with a blend of expertise covering strategy and implementation, head of unit, interim head of unit, start-up business development and thought leadership. Carl has cross-industry experience and has acted as an advisor, CIO and CTO for several organisations.

Carl is a leading contributor to Capgemini’s thought leadership in business technology and socio-technical matters. Carl also helps facilitate Capgemini’s business technology leadership community - a community of ex-CIOs, CTOs and business leaders who’ve personally faced the challenges of IT in business - whose goal is to provide support to executives and their leadership teams. Prior to the CTO role at Capgemini Carl ran its Technology Consulting Group business.

Ron Tolido

Vice President at Capgemini Netherlands and Chief Technology Officer for the Northern Europe and Asia Pacific regions

Ron TolidoRon Tolido is a Vice President at Capgemini Netherlands and Chief Technology Officer for the Northern Europe and Asia Pacific regions. Also, he is a Governing Director of the Open Group. He studied Dutch Language and Literature at the University of Leiden before earning a BSc in Information Technology at The Hague Polytechnic. Trained by AT&T’s Bell Labs, he was one of the first Unix System V kernel specialists in the Netherlands. During his career, Mr. Tolido has been involved in many different engagements pertaining to (commercial) software product development, technology consulting, architecture and IT strategy, both in operational and executive roles.

He published several books on software engineering, including 'object-oriented modeling & C++' and 'IAD, evolutionary development of information systems'. He is or has been a columnist for IT magazines such as Software Release Magazine, Corporate .Net Magazine, Datanews [corporate] solutions and Business Consultant magazine.

Mr. Tolido is a frequently invited, vivid speaker on innovative IT subjects. He is a jury member of the annual Benelux 'Development Tools' RAD Race. Furthermore, he is the external examiner for the Master of Science Course E-technology of Knowledge Centre Cibit / University of Middlesex, a member of the Programme Committee of the Dutch NWO 'Jacquard' IT innovation / stimulation programme and board member of Gridforum Netherlands. He acted in the board of commissioners of MarketXS (market data technology) and is currently a member of the advisory board of Astragy (strategic intelligence services).

Mr. Tolido's interests include excesses in philosophy and literature. He is sort of obsessed with Open Source and extreme transparency (which notoriously includes his Apple Cube). Furthermore, he is reported to do anything to simplify things.
